How this tool works

Enter a title, URL and description to view a draft search snippet and copy the corresponding HTML tags.

Understand the result

The preview is approximate, not an exact Google rendering or SEO score. Search engines can rewrite titles and descriptions; display length varies with device, font and query.

How to use the Meta Title & Description Preview

  1. Enter the page URL so the preview shows the address line the way a search result does.
  2. Write your SEO title. This is the clickable blue headline in search results.
  3. Write your meta description. This is the short summary shown under the title.
  4. Press Preview to see an approximate search snippet, then copy the HTML tags or paste the text into your SEO plugin (for example Yoast or Rank Math on WordPress, or the “Search engine listing” section in Shopify).

Recommended length

  • Title: aim for roughly 50–60 characters. Google truncates by pixel width, not by an exact character count, so wide letters use up space faster.
  • Description: aim for roughly 140–160 characters. On mobile, longer descriptions are sometimes shown, but the first part should still make sense on its own.

How to write a title that earns the click

  • Put the main keyword near the start, the way people would type it into Google.
  • Add a reason to click: a benefit, a number, the year, or what makes your page different.
  • Add your brand at the end if there is room, separated by a pipe or dash.
  • Make every title unique. Duplicate titles across products or posts confuse search engines and users.

How to write a useful meta description

  • Summarise what the visitor will get on the page in one or two sentences.
  • Repeat the main keyword naturally — Google often highlights matching words in bold.
  • End with a soft call to action such as “Compare prices”, “See the full guide” or “Order with fast delivery”.

Before and after example

Weak: Title: “Home” · Description: “Welcome to our website. We sell many products.”

Better: Title: “Long-Lasting Oud Perfumes for Men | Free Delivery” · Description: “Shop long-lasting oud and attar perfumes for men. 100% authentic scents, cash on delivery and fast nationwide shipping.”

Why Google sometimes changes your snippet

Search engines may rewrite a title or description if they think another part of the page better matches the search query. This happens more often when titles are too long, stuffed with keywords or do not match the page content. A clear, accurate, well-sized title is the best way to keep yours.

Frequently asked questions

Is the meta description a ranking factor?

Not directly. But a better description can raise your click-through rate, which brings more visitors from the same ranking position.

Should the SEO title match the H1 on the page?

They should be closely related, but they do not need to be identical. The SEO title can be shorter and include your brand name.
