Converting subtitle timestamps
SRT commonly uses a comma before milliseconds, such as 00:00:01,500. WebVTT uses a decimal point and a WEBVTT header. This tool reads the cue times and text, applies your timing offset, then writes the selected format. SRT cue numbers are regenerated in sequence.
A positive shift delays every cue; a negative shift makes it appear earlier. A shift that would move a cue before zero is rejected. Each cue must have text and an end time after its start. The tool supports files under 2 MB and at most 20,000 cues.
These are plain-cue conversions, not video transcription or translation. NOTE comments are omitted. STYLE and REGION blocks are rejected. VTT positioning settings are retained for VTT output but omitted for SRT, and identifiers are regenerated/omitted. Review advanced caption markup in your target player before publishing.
